The Lily Bard Mysteries & Aurora Teagarden Mysteries

by Charlaine Harris

Charlaine Harris has two new heroines – it’s time to meet ‘Lily Bard’ and ‘Aurora Teagarden’

Lily Bard is a tough young woman who has suffered more than her fair share of trauma in her short life. Lily has relocated to Shakespeare, a small town in Arkansas where she enjoys relative anonymity—that is, until a local character is found dead and the cover that she has worked so hard for is blown. Through this series of five stories, Lily Bard, (Karate wielding, house cleaner) finds herself in all manner of sticky situations and learns all sorts of interesting bits about her neighbours in the process.

Twenty-eight-year-old Aurora (Roe) Teagarden, professional librarian, belongs to the Real Murders club, a group of 12 enthusiasts who gather monthly to study famous baffling or unsolved crimes. As a meeting is to begin, Roe discovers the massacred body of a club member. She recognizes the method of slaughter as imitating the very crime she was to address that night–suddenly her life as armchair sleuth assumes an eerie reality
