What the Staff are Reading – ‘The Help’ by Kathryn Stockett

Jackson, Mississippi in the early 1960’s. White women have “help”, segregation is the order of the day, and the Civil Rights movement is warming up. Three women: two black, one white, come together to tell a story. Their story has to be written in secret so as not to endanger their lives. This is a real portrayal of the human condition of those times. Unforgettable and unputdownable.
