Stardust by Carla Stewart

They say don’t judge a book by its cover, but I just couldn’t pass this by. Stardust is set in 1950’s Texas, where polio is rife. Georgia Peyton has just buried her husband, and by chance has also inherited the ‘Stardust’ motel. It’s in need of repair, but it’s here that Georgia is determined to start a new life with her children.

Along the way Georgia discovers some secrets about her husband and some truths about herself. I do not usually read Christian fiction but enjoyed this delightful book

Sounds very much like Peyton Place revisited.
