Today whilst shelving I found…….(The Girl or the Boy in the Song)

girl in the songI found these two quirky little books today whilst shelving in the music section, and I have to say they are really rather interesting. They contain a collection of real stories behind 50 classic songs written about a particular girl or boy.

Did you know that when Neil Diamond was singing about ‘Sweet Caroline’ it was about Caroline Kennedy? Or that when Dolly Parton wrote ‘I will Always Love You’ it was about the man who gave her an important TV break?  These books will tell you all about the people whom many songs have been either written about. Lots of fun.

Check out either ‘The Girl in the Song’ or ‘The Boy in the Song’ here
