Librarian Reccommended: Girls on Fire by Robin Wasserman

This cross-over new adult book is on fire!

Set in the 90’s grunge era, in small town USA, Hannah/Dex is a misfit loner who somehow manages to become friends with new girl Lacey in the aftermath of the town’s football hero’s suicide.

Dex is spellbound by Doc wearing, no F’s giving Lacey, and tries to be more like her. But what she doesn’t realise is that Lacey is more secrets than truths, and her agenda is purely self serving.

While the town tries to close around it’s young people, Lacey delves into even darker behaviour, and someone isn’t going to make it out alive.

Wasserman’s prose is spellbinding, her insight into her characters captivating, and her plot is unrelenting, making this read a physical experience that will stay with you long after the last page!
