Te Wiki O Te Reo Māori 2016

Ākina te reo – Behind you all the way

Ko te kaupapa i tēnei tau ko Ākina te reo – Behind you all the way, ko te tautoko i te tangata mā te reo Māori, hei whakahihiko, hei hikihiki i ngā tāngata katoa – mā te reo Māori, tīmata ana i te whakataetae Taumāhekeheke o te Ao me ētahi atu kaupapa hākinakina rongonui puta noa i te tau.

The theme for this year is Ākina te reo – Behind you all the way, which is about using te reo Māori to support people, to inspire and to cheer on, starting with the Olympic Games and other popular sports codes and events that occur throughout the year.

Our Māori staff have created a booklet for Māori Language Week.  It is available free of charge at the issues counter and children’s service counter.  Enter our Olympic Games competition in the booklet and be in to win!

Mauria mai tōu puka whakauru ki te wāhi tamariki.
