Librarian Recommended Read – No man’s land by David Baldacci

no-mans-landMilitary Investigator John Puller’s mother Jackie disappeared 30 years ago.

Despite an intensive search and investigation her body was never found and no one was ever charged with her murder..  New information has since come to light whereby Puller’s highly decorated father is now a suspect. John Puller Snr suffers from dementia and is totally unaware of the furore that has erupted surrounding the case.

Forbidden by the military hierarchy to investigate the case John Puller Jnr refuses to listen and he is joined by his good friend PI Veronica Knox to do their own investigation. John and Veronica are constantly stonewalled during their investigation and John Jnr is saved from being shot at by a mysterious drifter Paul Rogers.  Unbeknown to these two Rogers has a vested interest in this case as he was witness to the disappearance of Jackie Puller all those years ago.

A typical Baldacci thriller for those following the John Puller series (this being #4).
